Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner
Centre for Remote Health
2 years part-time (external)

The Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) is a practice-focused course designed to enable advanced practice Registered Nurses to incorporate high-level knowledge and skills into extended practice in a variety of complex situations; to enhance their professional efficacy, autonomy and accountability; and to develop clinical leadership in professional health practice. A distinguishing feature is the focus on addressing gaps in service within urban, remote and Indigenous health contexts.

With the support of their employer and mentorship from a multidisciplinary team of clinical experts, Nurse Practitioner candidates extend their existing specialty postgraduate knowledge and skills in preparation for practice beyond the scope of a Registered Nurse within the unique setting of cross-cultural clinical practice.
