Project Description  
     
The development and initial delivery of a professional development program for primary health care workers to:
  • assist to translate recent research findings in dementia assessment and care into primary health care practice
  • provide primary health care professionals with an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in Indigenous dementia care and management, including the validated Kimberly Indigenous Cognitive Assessment (KICA) tool
  • facilitate primary health care workers to identify their on-going learning and professional development needs in relation to dementia care and raise awareness of resources and professional networks available to them 
  • contribute to developing a research and evaluation agenda for primary health care services in Indigenous dementia care
