Kerry commenced at the Centre for Remote Health in February 2009.  Kerry was previously a lecturer in nursing with Flinders since 1998, responsible for the development and delivery of Indigenous health for undergraduates and a successful clinical placement program that attracted high achieving students to take up remote and Indigenous health careers. Kerry has extensive experience working in Central Australian remote communities with a variety of organizations, including NT Open College, Batchelor Institute of Tertiary Education, Centralian College and NT Department of Health, where she was Curriculum development officer responsible for writing and some delivery of the Remote Area Nurses’ and Aboriginal Health Workers’ Pathways professional development programs.

Kerry's PhD thesis is a study of intercultural communications in health care in Indigenous language settings.  Her higher education teaching experience has been in the areas of Indigenous health, remote health and cultural safety.
