Remote Health Management Program |
Those undertaking studies in Remote Health Management have the option of developing their skills as managers in the Remote Health Management program (RHM) or of taking the management stream in the Remote Health Practice program (RHP) which in addition to management in the remote health context will also focus on developing advanced knowledge and skills in the broader issues of remote health management and public health (MRHP: Management). Both awards have entry and exit points at Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters levels.
Both RHP: M and the RHM programs are grounded in the practicalities of remote area health and the principles of primary health care and aims to prepare managers and health professionals to effectively manage within the remote health care sector. The course is offered primarily via external studies, some on line with intensive blocks of about one week for some topics. These blocks are usually undertaken at the Centre for Remote Health in Alice Springs.
The Student handbook 2011 (under development) provides up to date information, and is in PDF format for easy download and printing.
