Project Manager CRANAplus/CARPA
Brief Biography
Stephanie is project manager for the second edition of the CRANAplus (Council of Remote Area Nurses of Australia) Clinical Procedures Manual at the Centre for Remote Health. She is also assisting with the creation of an electronic version of the CARPA (Central Australian Rural Practitioners Association) Standard Treatment Manual.
Stephanie studied art before completing a graduate diploma in education and working in secondary schools in NSW and Victoria. Teaching on a community in central Australia informed and brought together her interests in Aboriginal issues, education and health. This led to her illustrating cross cultural publications, and tutoring in Aboriginal studies for the University of South Australia.
Stephanie was also the administrator of her family’s small business as well as being an active member of her children’s child care committee and primary school council, and president of their of secondary school council.
She worked on early editions of the CARPA Standard Treatment Manual and was the project manager and illustrator for the first edition of the CRANA Clinical Procedures Manual. She also developed web sites and materials to support these and other publications and organisations.
