Brief Biography
I worked for seven years in Central Australia in the ‘90’s including a pilot project on vocational rehabilitation in the cross border region. I was then was part of the first six years of the Occupational Therapy program at James Cook University. I have been working at the Centre for Remote Health in Alice Springs since early 2004 coordinating the allied health stream of post graduate studies in Remote Health Practice.

Research Interests
I have conducted extended qualitative research into the experience of allied health professionals working in Indigenous and remote communities as indicated by publications and presentations at national professional conferences as listed. This research is presently focused on Transdisciplinary practice of Allied Health Professionals in remote areas and dementia in remote communities.

I have also completed a project on Equipment provision to people with disabilities in the Tri-state region, and have worked as an occupational therapist for Ngaanyatjarra Health.
I am actively involved in Services for Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH). Below is a list of my most significant activities

- Member of working group to develop web based learning material around Supporting the transition of allied health professionals remote and rural practice Member of SARRAH working party on clinical placement undergraduate scholarships
I am a longstanding member of OT Australia (NT) and currently on the Scientific committee for the 2011 national OT conference.
